Caffe 1901 Deli – A Divine Combination of Delicious Food and a Creative Space

Situated on a corner just a quick stroll from Manors metro station, boasts the bubblegum pink Caffe 1901 deli. Dog friendly, with vegan and vegetarian options and a stunning event room for hire, we were so pleased to check the deli off from our ‘must-go’ list.

Caffe 1901 has an additional two sister stores, a bistro based in Jesmond and another deli in Gosforth. We took a day trip to the branch in Manors. The bright colour palette and floral feature wall welcomes you in right away, immediately offering multiple spots for the perfect Instagram picture.

We were greeted by the lovely staff, who were more than happy to help. We were spoiled for choice between the delicious sweets that they had on offer; between the vegan Oreo Tiffin, Biscoff rocky road, the gluten free caramel brownie and more. To go hand in hand with your sweet treat, why not try one of the deli’s deluxe hot choccys, especially with the autumn months approaching! A delicious Biscoff hot chocolate with the option for vegan and veggie alternatives are definitely a go to for September! Or if you’re wanting your chocolatey drink fix in the summer time, try a milkshake!

The deli’s mouth watering vegan Oreo tiffin! Yum!

If coffee and cake isn’t your thing, the deli also serves breakfast and lunch. With something for everyone, choose between the mouth watering Full English (with a vegan and veggie alternative!) or avocado smash for breakfast. If you’re wanting lunch, the deli offers a tasty American burger, or if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, try the El Matador, a block and bottle beef patty, garlic mayo, chorizo and rocket lettuce served in a hot toasted brioche bun!

To accompany your scran, sit comfortably in the delightful blue seating that decorates the petite deli. Whether you take a selfie in front of the ornate gallery wall or stylish LED sign, you’re destined for a stunning picture.

The floral feature wall and elegant powder blue booths perfectly compliment the rustic feel of the rest of the deli, with distressed wooden tables and hanging string lights above the exposed brick walls. The bubblegum pink and yellow exterior continues on inside and we think it looks so chic!

This quirky hidden gem also offers event space. Whether that be for your next workshop, work meeting or dinner party, we’re sure you will have a blast at the deli. Alongside the creative space, the deli also offers bespoke catering in-house and out so that your event will have top-tier food.

Located opposite Northumbria Uni, it’s the perfect place for students to get out somewhere new for a change of scenario to study or write your day away!

If you’re a dog lover, make sure to pop over! Bring your pooch along with you or come along to meet other pups – there’s a free doggie biscuit available at the door!

No reservations necessary, just turn up and grab a table!

Drooling? We don’t blame you! Hop off the metro at Manors station and visit Caffe 1901 deli, we promise you won’t regret it! Check out their full menu and information here on their website.
