5 North East Bonfire Night Celebrations to Start the Weekend Off With a Bang

Baby, you’re a firework!

Bonfire night is just around the corner and that means one thing. Fireworks!

We’re definitely dreaming of watching the sky fill with lights, drinking hot chocolate, and praying that mud doesn’t leak into our ankle boots (that we insisted would be ok for a muddy field!).

If you’re in the North East and wanting to commemorate Guy Fawkes’ demise in the most colourful way possible, we’ve gathered together a few local events for you to check out.

Branding themselves as a Scream Park means that you’re bound to be in for a night of fright.

Spooky attractions, cocktails, and street food are just the tip of the iceberg. With the Stage Fright attraction, you’ll see all sorts of fantastic performers, like aerial acts and fire performers to really spice up your night.

Time: The event starts at 6pm and then the show starts at 7pm
Tickets: None needed

Newcastle Racecourse Fireworks and Funfair

In partnership with Spectrum Fireworks, Newcastle Racecourse’s show is perfect for all ages.

Music from the local radio station will provide the soundtrack to an evening of face painting, fairground attractions, and glitter stands before the sound of colourful gunpowder fills the skies.
