November’s Music/Theatre Rundown

The Arts are back people!

After months of Covid cancelling gigs and shows, creatives are once again back in full force. Whether you’re looking to get your live music fix, or to watch a piece of theatre so sophisticated that you forget you’ve spent the last 6 months in the same pair of trackies, November’s upcoming shows have something for everyone.

We’ve gathered up a rundown of what’s on this month, so all you need to do is put your phone on silent, sit back, and relax.

November 3rd


A flamenco inspired Opera from Bizet, Carmen tells the story of a strong woman doing anything she can to survive in a poor frontier town, including manipulating and seducing the men who try to control her. But when one man’s obsession turns to burning jealousy, Carmen finds herself in shocking situation.

November 4th


Rent follows a year in the life of impoverished young artists living in Manhattan.
The show follows their ups, down, losses, and loves whilst giving an insight into life at. the height of the AIDS crisis.

Nordic Magic

Hedda Gabler

Having married out of desperation, Hedda Gabler finds life with her academic husband tedious. When the arrival of an old friend, and academic rival, comes into the couple’s lives, a flurry of darkness, death and betrayal consumes the lives of Hedda and her husband.

Stags and Hens

It’s 1977 in Liverpool and the Stags and Hens are out. Groom Dave is too drunk to stand and Bride Linda has locked herself in a cubical… all according the plan right?
But when the two parties discover they’ve stumbled upon the same bar, and local star Peter McGreen shows up out of the blue, things quickly spiral out of control and into hilarity.

Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us

VOTT are back for their 10th anniversary performance with their most rockin’ show to date. After moving online for Covid, the North East’s funkiest contemporary choir have dove back into live performances with all the energy and joy that you’ll see at one of their shows.
